Cheers To The Weekend!

Welcome back to my blog! Anyone else feel like there should be a day between Saturday and Sunday?! The weekend always seems to fly by! On the weekends I have 2 rules: #1 I'm not cooking dinner. #2 Relax and have fun! Last Friday, after I left work I stopped by Target on the way home. It was pouring rain as I was shopping, so you know I had to wait out the rain and spend an hour and half in there! 😂lol! When I got home I practiced making projects on my new Circut! Then made tacos for Tyler and I and enjoyed watching One Tree Hill on Hulu!
Saturday, we got up and drove to Anderson, IN to see a former youth student, now a dear friend. We had a great time catching up and went to the cutest coffee shop called, Jack Rabbit Coffee! Then we ventured over to a thrift store! That evening we celebrated our friend Chad's birthday at B dubs. My cousin and I were flying solo for dinner, without our husbands for the night, so we thought we would do something fun...crazy....spontaneous...after dinner, we went to the club...the Franklin Skate Club that is! LOL! We went roller skating! We hadn't been in years! You should've seen us!! We were holding hands so we didn't fall while these 14 years olds passed us up and nearly knocked us over! I could not stop laughing! We did great! Neither one of us fell! hahaha! Sunday, Tyler and I went to church and then had Mexican for lunch with my mom, grandma, and uncle. That evening I led our high school youth group and we had a wonderful time of playing sardines in the church, worshipping Jesus together, and deep small group time. oh! & enjoyed some pizza together! Overall it was the best weekend I've had in a long time. As I've gotten older I found myself to be a kind of a "loner" because I am perfectly content with spending my weekends at home watching tv with my husband and crafting. But when I do get to spend time with the people I love it fills my heart! 💓
What does your ideal weekend look like?

Challenge: This weekend do something out of the ordinary! Not necessarily out of your comfort zone, but something that you enjoy that you often don't take time to do that's good for your soul!💕

How to roll with the change

Although I've still been going into my office Tuesday-Friday at church, I'm starting to feel a little trapped on my weekends at home... And I just got word that I will be working from home staring tomorrow. These past couple weekends I've found some tips and tricks for me to not feel so stuck during this time. I hope some of this helps you as well! Note: this is all based off my personal experience and opinion.  1. Get dressed!  I know this sounds so simple! I found on the days I actually get ready (not full glam) but a normal outfit (for me leggings/joggers and a sweatshirt) I found I feel more motivated to get things done! The days I stay in my pajamas I end up just wanting to watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians on the couch all day long! Not saying there is anything wrong with that! But I also NEED to get some stuff done around the house and I just found that getting dressed helps me to do it! 2. Adjust your focus. When I start focusing on the...

DIY Jewlery Presents

This year I wanted to make some homemade, DIY Christmas gifts for my family! In July I had injured my lower back really bad and couldn't even get from the couch to my bed without being in pain! So I started making jewelry again, which I hadn't in years!! I forgot how much fun it is to create something for yourself or someone you love! So for the Christmas gifts I'm making I already had all the beads, tools, and string I needed to make something special for my mom, my grandma, and my niece! I hope when they open it on Christmas they will know how much time, effort, and love I put into the jewelry! 😊💝 These beads are from Hobby Lobby and so is the bead organizer! - which is a MUST!!! This Jewelry making kit is from Target and it's AMAZING!! It came with cute letter beads, pliers, jump rings, chains, and clasps! All for around $15/$20 Of course I had to be festive and make the Christmas jewelry presents next to our Christmas tree while watching al...
Well the big secret is out! Tyler and I are going to have a baby this October!! While this was a pretty huge surprise for us we are so excited! I was saying before we found out that we're pregnant how I want to get more prepared before we start having kids by paying off our credit cards, getting better about managing our money, to get physically strong and fit....but I'm now realizing we have the rest of our lives to do those things! Goals are great don't get me wrong, but God's timing is perfect and I think I was just using those things as an excuse because deep down I was unsure if I was really ready to become a mom! Ever since finding out that I'm pregnant I'm really seeing God's hand on all of it. I've always wanted to be pregnant in the summer time and I used to always think about how October is a great month to have a birthday! (Everyone is back from summer vacation and it's before the holidays) to find out I am due Oct. 20th and I'll be ...
