Cheers To The Weekend!

Welcome back to my blog! Anyone else feel like there should be a day between Saturday and Sunday?! The weekend always seems to fly by! On the weekends I have 2 rules: #1 I'm not cooking dinner. #2 Relax and have fun! Last Friday, after I left work I stopped by Target on the way home. It was pouring rain as I was shopping, so you know I had to wait out the rain and spend an hour and half in there! 😂lol! When I got home I practiced making projects on my new Circut! Then made tacos for Tyler and I and enjoyed watching One Tree Hill on Hulu!
Saturday, we got up and drove to Anderson, IN to see a former youth student, now a dear friend. We had a great time catching up and went to the cutest coffee shop called, Jack Rabbit Coffee! Then we ventured over to a thrift store! That evening we celebrated our friend Chad's birthday at B dubs. My cousin and I were flying solo for dinner, without our husbands for the night, so we thought we would do something fun...crazy....spontaneous...after dinner, we went to the club...the Franklin Skate Club that is! LOL! We went roller skating! We hadn't been in years! You should've seen us!! We were holding hands so we didn't fall while these 14 years olds passed us up and nearly knocked us over! I could not stop laughing! We did great! Neither one of us fell! hahaha! Sunday, Tyler and I went to church and then had Mexican for lunch with my mom, grandma, and uncle. That evening I led our high school youth group and we had a wonderful time of playing sardines in the church, worshipping Jesus together, and deep small group time. oh! & enjoyed some pizza together! Overall it was the best weekend I've had in a long time. As I've gotten older I found myself to be a kind of a "loner" because I am perfectly content with spending my weekends at home watching tv with my husband and crafting. But when I do get to spend time with the people I love it fills my heart! 💓
What does your ideal weekend look like?

Challenge: This weekend do something out of the ordinary! Not necessarily out of your comfort zone, but something that you enjoy that you often don't take time to do that's good for your soul!💕

Well the big secret is out! Tyler and I are going to have a baby this October!! While this was a pretty huge surprise for us we are so excited! I was saying before we found out that we're pregnant how I want to get more prepared before we start having kids by paying off our credit cards, getting better about managing our money, to get physically strong and fit....but I'm now realizing we have the rest of our lives to do those things! Goals are great don't get me wrong, but God's timing is perfect and I think I was just using those things as an excuse because deep down I was unsure if I was really ready to become a mom! Ever since finding out that I'm pregnant I'm really seeing God's hand on all of it. I've always wanted to be pregnant in the summer time and I used to always think about how October is a great month to have a birthday! (Everyone is back from summer vacation and it's before the holidays) to find out I am due Oct. 20th and I'll be ...

Last Minute Gift Idea

Can you believe Christmas is only 6 days away?!?! I feel like Tyler and I just put up the tree! This is such a busy time of year for both my work and social life! But I love it! I am about done wrapping gifts for our family members. But it dawned on me that I left a few people out! Our neighbors, the mail man, my youth students, and a couple long distant cousins. So I had this simple and cheap Christmas gift idea! I used holiday to-go mugs and filled it with candy and packets of hot chocolate! I put a cute bow on top and gift tag and I was done! I think they turned out pretty great! Here are some pics! Let me know your last minute Christmas gift ideas! Or if you decided to give mine a try! Xo Xo ~ Valerie                                         Here are the mugs with bows and gift tags that I added!  What's Inside .... 3 packets of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate! ...

Happy October! - It's baby month!!

It's been ahile since I've had time to update my blog! Thank you so much to those of you who have been following along with me on my social platforms! It means the world to me. Today is October 1st, which means it's baby month!! I cannot believe it! I feel like I have been pregnant FOREVER! At the same time, I can't believe baby Chloe will be here in 3 short weeks!I have been doing everything I can to prepare, yet I still feel so scared of the unkown. I'm going to be honest with you, I have never even changed a diaper before! So my experience with babies is little to none. But I know God puts that natural mother instinct into us women to care for our babies. So I just keep reminding myself of that. We had a beautiful unicorn themed baby shower back in July and Tyler and I did our maternity photos with Morgan Maria last month. The nursey is ready to go and hospital bags are packed! Now I am just trying to enjoy the last couple weeks of it just being Tyler and I - the...
