Cheers To The Weekend!

Welcome back to my blog! Anyone else feel like there should be a day between Saturday and Sunday?! The weekend always seems to fly by! On the weekends I have 2 rules: #1 I'm not cooking dinner. #2 Relax and have fun! Last Friday, after I left work I stopped by Target on the way home. It was pouring rain as I was shopping, so you know I had to wait out the rain and spend an hour and half in there! πŸ˜‚lol! When I got home I practiced making projects on my new Circut! Then made tacos for Tyler and I and enjoyed watching One Tree Hill on Hulu!
Saturday, we got up and drove to Anderson, IN to see a former youth student, now a dear friend. We had a great time catching up and went to the cutest coffee shop called, Jack Rabbit Coffee! Then we ventured over to a thrift store! That evening we celebrated our friend Chad's birthday at B dubs. My cousin and I were flying solo for dinner, without our husbands for the night, so we thought we would do something fun...crazy....spontaneous...after dinner, we went to the club...the Franklin Skate Club that is! LOL! We went roller skating! We hadn't been in years! You should've seen us!! We were holding hands so we didn't fall while these 14 years olds passed us up and nearly knocked us over! I could not stop laughing! We did great! Neither one of us fell! hahaha! Sunday, Tyler and I went to church and then had Mexican for lunch with my mom, grandma, and uncle. That evening I led our high school youth group and we had a wonderful time of playing sardines in the church, worshipping Jesus together, and deep small group time. oh! & enjoyed some pizza together! Overall it was the best weekend I've had in a long time. As I've gotten older I found myself to be a kind of a "loner" because I am perfectly content with spending my weekends at home watching tv with my husband and crafting. But when I do get to spend time with the people I love it fills my heart! πŸ’“
What does your ideal weekend look like?

Challenge: This weekend do something out of the ordinary! Not necessarily out of your comfort zone, but something that you enjoy that you often don't take time to do that's good for your soul!πŸ’•

Just want to brag on God this morningπŸ’•  My husband’s car  broke down back in December. We had it towed to a car shop to fix it, it has been in there for over a month! Starting to feel stressed with only one vehicle, my husband -the problem solver that’s in his character of who he is, wanted to buy a new car. I didn’t feel peace about it. The next morning I realized I hadn’t prayed about this situation at all! So I prayed for God’s Will to be done & for the car to be fixed. That very afternoon Tyler got the call that the car was ready!!πŸ™ŒπŸ½ we are going to go pick it up today! 😍 They also replaced his transmission for FREE because it took so long. So this verse is ringing in my head today! πŸ’“ “Don’t’ worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.” Sometimes situations in life can be so stressful and for some reason we often feel like we have to figure it out all on our own. But I found that it's so much ea...

DIY Christmas Cards

If you love to be creative and festive like me, then you will love making your very own Christmas cards! A nice card can be pretty expensive, so this year I decided to "DIY" my cards! I have always loved making personal birthday cards, so this year I thought, why not Christmas too?! I already had everything I needed to create the cards so the only thing that costed me was the stamps to mail them! Which is totally worth it to put a smile on my family's face with a little surprise in the mail! Here are some tips and pics of my DIY 2019 Christmas cards!  I used Christmas themed scrapbook paper and folded it over to make it thicker, like a card. I also added these cute scrapbook stickers.  They add so much cuteness to the cards!!  Nice stickers can be be pretty pricy at the craft stores, but my Grandma is so sweet and picks me up some stickers all year round when she goes to Goodwill and gets them for .99 for a brand new pack! I would rec...

Focus On The Good

I hope everyone is doing well given the circumstances we are all dealing with. It comes and goes for me... sometimes I'm cool, and then other times it hits me like a ton of bricks that pretty much the whole world is on a lock down and I'm seeing some of my favorite local places in my town being forced to shut down. I'm the type of person that one minute I believe ignorance is bliss, then next minute, I'm trying to take on all of the world's problems. Funny how that works. But I've come to the realization that it's time to focus on the good things in life! There is absolutely nothing I can do about this global pandemic. But I CAN control my attitude about it and I CAN  control how to make the best use of my time. Here are a few ways I've been able to focus on the good: 1. I've been texting and having REAL phone conversations more!  I know this sounds odd, but usually I just spend my social time on my phone through Facebook and Instagram-scrolli...
