DIY Jewlery Presents

This year I wanted to make some homemade, DIY Christmas gifts for my family! In July I had injured my lower back really bad and couldn't even get from the couch to my bed without being in pain! So I started making jewelry again, which I hadn't in years!! I forgot how much fun it is to create something for yourself or someone you love! So for the Christmas gifts I'm making I already had all the beads, tools, and string I needed to make something special for my mom, my grandma, and my niece! I hope when they open it on Christmas they will know how much time, effort, and love I put into the jewelry! 😊💝


These beads are from Hobby Lobby and so is the bead organizer! -which is a MUST!!!


This Jewelry making kit is from Target and it's AMAZING!! It came with cute letter beads, pliers, jump rings, chains, and clasps! All for around $15/$20


Of course I had to be festive and make the Christmas jewelry presents next to our Christmas tree while watching all 3 of "The Santa Clause" movies ! 




Here is the personalized name necklaceI made for my mom. These can be very pricy on Etsy and she said that she had been wanting one! Can't wait to watch her open it!! 😍


I made this bracelet for my grandma with these beautiful blue glass beads and her initials!

I made this neon green choker necklace with fun letter beads for my 5 year old niece in California. Unfortunately, they are not coming home for Christmas this year! But I am sending them a package with Christmas goodies and decided to put this in there for my niece!! 💖 The metal clamps and clasp was very hard to get on the string!! It took my FOREVER!! 
But it's worth the time for my sweet Sophia!


I am a sucker for nice boxes! I can never throw them away when I get new jewelry from the store! I'm so glad I saved them, because it was perfect to put the jewelry I made inside and wrap it up!!

My favorite piece was this necklace I made for my mom. Mainly because I know this was on her list and I got to create what she wanted!! Yay! 😘

Just want to brag on God this morning💕  My husband’s car  broke down back in December. We had it towed to a car shop to fix it, it has been in there for over a month! Starting to feel stressed with only one vehicle, my husband -the problem solver that’s in his character of who he is, wanted to buy a new car. I didn’t feel peace about it. Marriage Get Away

Tyler and I had a great weekend together! We left Friday after work to go to Ohio for a church conference over the weekend. Just the two of us! Although it's not the beach and palm trees, it's always great to go on a mini adventure! I think there is SO much value in getting away from your day to day life with your spouse - even if it's only an hour or so away! Just time to be away and together . For some reason there is something stuck in a lot of our heads that in order for it to be a "get away" it's going to cost a lot of money, use up vacation time at work, and be planned out in advance. If this were true, we would only go on trips once a year... if that! haha. I don't know about you, but I love staying in a hotel that I don't have to clean and eating out every night, not having to cook and clean up dinner! Children are the future!

As some of you may already know, I'm the high school youth pastor at the Vineyard. Tyler and I  started as volunteers for both Middle and High school back in 2014. This is something that I had never really pictured myself doing. I thought it may be a good thing since youth group was such a big part of my own life when I was in school. Fast forward to 2019 where I have been running high school youth every Sunday night. I honestly feel so unworthy to be in this position. Sometimes it's hard. I don't have all the answers (I wish I did). I'm not this crazy super pastor that does everything with confidence. But what I am confident in is that God has put me in this position that I never thought of doing for a reason. It brings me so much joy! Nothing makes my heart happier than seeing my students worship Jesus, praying for one another, and truly showing love to others around them.
