DIY Christmas Cards

If you love to be creative and festive like me, then you will love making your very own Christmas cards! A nice card can be pretty expensive, so this year I decided to "DIY" my cards! I have always loved making personal birthday cards, so this year I thought, why not Christmas too?! I already had everything I needed to create the cards so the only thing that costed me was the stamps to mail them! Which is totally worth it to put a smile on my family's face with a little surprise in the mail! Here are some tips and pics of my DIY 2019 Christmas cards! 




I used Christmas themed scrapbook paper and folded it over to make it thicker, like a card.

I also added these cute scrapbook stickers. They add so much cuteness to the cards!! Nice stickers can be be pretty pricy at the craft stores, but my Grandma is so sweet and picks me up some stickers all year round when she goes to Goodwill and gets them for .99 for a brand new pack! I would recommend doing this. Otherwise a nice pack of stickers can range from $5-$8 at the store. 

If you don't want to spend money on stickers, another option would be to doodle your own Christmas icons! This would probably be appreciated by any family member to show the effort you put into the card you made just for them!!







This one probably has to be my favorite! I used a small piece of cards stock, punched out 2 holes, and tied a bow with festive Christmas ribbon! Then I glued it on the front of the card and wrote "Merry Christmas!"


Here is my whole spread! It took me about 3 hours to make all of my cards!




I thought it would be a cute touch to add a sticker to help seal the envelope for mailing the cards out to my loved ones!

Well the big secret is out! Tyler and I are going to have a baby this October!! While this was a pretty huge surprise for us we are so excited! Last Minute Gift Idea

Can you believe Christmas is only 6 days away?!?! I feel like Tyler and I just put up the tree! This is such a busy time of year for both my work and social life! But I love it! I am about done wrapping gifts for our family members. But it dawned on me that I left a few people out! Our neighbors, the mail man, my youth students, and a couple long distant cousins. So I had this simple and cheap Christmas gift idea! I used holiday to-go mugs and filled it with candy and packets of hot chocolate! I put a cute bow on top and gift tag and I was done! Happy October! - It's baby month!!

It's been ahile since I've had time to update my blog! Thank you so much to those of you who have been following along with me on my social platforms! It means the world to me. Today is October 1st, which means it's baby month!! I cannot believe it! I feel like I have been pregnant FOREVER! At the same time, I can't believe baby Chloe will be here in 3 short weeks!I have been doing everything I can to prepare, yet I still feel so scared of the unkown. I'm going to be honest with you, I have never even changed a diaper before! So my experience with babies is little to none. But I know God puts that natural mother instinct into us women to care for our babies. So I just keep reminding myself of that.
