I'm really looking forward of what's to come after all of this Corona-Crazy comes to an end! Although I'm LOVING working from home! I'm excited to for our first church gathering and our first night back at high school youth group! I can't wait for all the smiles, hugs, and laughs that will be shared! I really believe and pray that people will appreciate each other and the little things in life more than we used to!
I'm also really looking forward to our gender reveal party Tyler and I are going to host at our house next month! And we FINALLY get to find out if Baby Burton is a boy or girl! I feel like it's a girl, Tyler is convinced it's a boy! lol I don't even care at this point! I just want to know!!!! So I've been keeping my focus on the great things to come, instead of the negatives... which has really helped me during this time of being alone. I've also realized I'm more of a homebody/ introvert than I thought! lol Of course social media, phone calls, and Zoom helps a lot!
I know one thing- as soon as this ends, I'm going to go get a mani-pedi and eat endless chips and salsa at a local Mexican restaurant! haha!
This week I'd like to encourage you to make a list of things you're looking forward to! Maybe it's having a cookout with your friends, eating at your favorite restaurant, or going to get your hair done! Whatever it is, focus on the great things to come! Soon all of this will be a distant memory and we'll be saying, "remember that time when we were all stuck at home?!"
I came across this verse today and it really resonated with me and this blog post;
"For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever."
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 {NLT}
